About

Hello! My name is Jess and welcome to my little place in the world. I am so happy that you have found my website and that you are considering working together. I am a wedding and elopement photographer that resides in Alberta, Canada. Places that you will normally find me shooting are: Banff, Canmore, Jasper, Nordegg, Edmonton, Vermilion, Wainwright, Drumheller and Kananaskis. I love going to new places to photograph and some of my favourites so far have been: Iceland, Mexico, Newfoundland, Vancouver Island, Alaska and Nevada.
I am available to travel wherever your heart desires.

catch us in action

Since we might be spending a bit of time together (planning your wedding/elopement photography or even a family or adventure session) I'm sure that you would like to know a little bit about me! I have been photographing since 2011 when a few friends noticed that I enjoyed taking pictures and convinced me that I would be able to do this professionally. The rest is history. I am an easy going, creative and patient person who enjoys being with people to celebrate ordinary

normal days and the most special and happy days of their lives.
Some things that I enjoy in no particular order: spending time with my family, finding new places to take my kayak, iced capps, pasta, reading, being outside in nature, watching HGTV or survival skill shows, my golden retriever (Poppy) and my fluffy white ragdoll cat (Norman).
I can't wait to learn more about you during your session!

A photo from my own wedding day 8 September 2021 by Secret Waters Photo

Sipping chartreuse and green tea while looking at the most perfect white subway tile and hand painted signs. Driving through the mountains to Portland reminiscing about the best memories back home. Cozy sweaters, vintage demin, and Pabst while telling one of a kind love stories. The trials and tribulations of love, joy, and happiness. Lastly, champagne brunch and avocado toast while surrounded by the finest exposed brick, dreamcatchers, and maps to our souls. Dreamcatchers, macrame and 100 Days of Summer. Anthropologie trips and walks on the beach, love letters and secret admirers. Fall breeze, flannels, and hot cocoa. Whales and dinosaurs and handmade crafts. Salvage denim, antique leather bags, and the first time we watched Moonrise Kingdom.

The slow hum of traffic and the cool breeze that signify the joy of a new day.
